Diary

Ben was on a training exercise in and around the Dover (Kent) area. There had been an air raid during which a bomb / land mine had been dropped that had produced a huge crater on landing but had not exploded. Ben was the first man into the crater when the bomb exploded. The explosion killed Ben; the second man into the crater lost his legs.
